Property developer Magnolia Quality Development Corporation Ltd (MQDC) has secured 22 billion baht in financing from Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) for The Forestias, a large-scale mixed-use project on Bang Na-Trat Road.

MQDC chief executive Suttha Ruengchaiphaiboon said construction of the residential area is 70% complete. The SCB loan will maintain the construction schedule and support completion of the residential zone by 2026.

The Forestias spans 157 acres on Bang Na-Trat KM7 Road and integrates residential, commercial and recreational components, including condominiums, villas, retail, offices, a boutique hotel and community facilities.

Key residential components include three Whizdom condominiums that are already occupied, Mulberry Grove residences designed for multi-generational living, Six Senses Residences -- the brand's first in Southeast Asia -- and The Forestias Signature Series, a high-rise project now under construction.

"The Forestias stems from deep analysis to create a model city for sustainability, benefiting all life on earth through outstanding design and construction," said Thippaporn Ahriyavraromp, founder of MQDC.

The district has been developed under the concept of 'sustainnovation' combining innovation with sustainability to create a harmonious ecosystem for both people and nature.

"When we developed The Forestias, we found it aligns with all 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, especially in good health and well-being [Goal 3], sustainable cities and communities [Goal 11] and climate action [Goal 13]," she added.

The residential district brings THE forest into the city, reduces carbon emissions, uses clean energy and creates a warm community, according to the developer.

SCBX chief executive Arthid Nanthawithaya said the project aligns with the group's commitment to financing developments that support a low-carbon economy.

SCB chief executive Kris Chantanotoke added that the bank views The Forestias as a model for sustainable urban development in the region.
